So after the first two rounds...that’ your ol’ pal Joe picking at a success rate of 90%. So much for the title of this column. LOL!

Conference Championship Picks

Denver vs New England

I would have leaned Broncos in this one....UNTIL...Bo Nix fractured his ankle near the end of the game this past weekend.

Jarrett Stidham...yes....Jarrett Stidham will be Denver’s starting QB for the AFC Championship. THAT...is a tough break.

I lived in Boston during the “Stidham Era” following 6 titles in 20 years by the GOAT. It was a short-lived era that did not go well.

Yes...the Broncos have an amazing D. But Stiddy hasn’t even ATTEMPTED a pass in an NFL game since 2023. It’s just too much to overcome.

I’ve got the team who ironically drafted Stidham...the New England Patriots...representing the AFC in Santa Clara.

Seattle vs Los Angeles

IMHO...the Seattle Seahawks are simply playing the best football of all remaining teams. After starting the season as one of...if not THE best team in the league...the Rams have sputtered a bit down the stretch. After barely squeaking by both Carolina and Chicago to reach the NFC Championship...I just don’t think Stafford and the boys have enough left inb the tank to get past Seattle at home.

Bottom line...it will be an East vs West Super Bowl between Seattle and New England.
