A Maryland family is looking for someone to save the life of their child and you could be the match.

Ailani Myers is 4 years old and has been going through treatments for acute lymphoblastic leukemia for over a year, WTOP reported.

She has gone through chemotherapy, radiation and multiple blood transfusions.

Now Ailani needs a blood stem cell transplant. She had one in 2019 from her father, but he was only half a match. Instead, doctors said she needs a perfect match, WBAL reported.

She is being treated at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, WTOP reported.

Ailani’s family is now asking complete strangers to help save their child and doctors said they only have about two to three months to do so.

You can register on Be the Match, a bone marrow registry, and do a swab of your cheek. You can also text SAVEAILANI to 61474, WBAL reported.

If you are a match, in most cases the transplant is much like donating plasma, but in some cases, about 20% are a marrow donation, WTOP reported.
