Interim Pittsburgh Public Schools superintendent Wayne Walters said Wednesday that Marquis was well-liked by students and school staff members, according to WPXI.
“Today was nothing short of a tragedy,” he said. “I stand with the leaders of the school. As a former principal, I know (that) just the possibility of an incident like (what happened) today is something that keeps us up at night.”
#NEW This is 15 year old Marquis Campbell. Those close to him tell me he had the funniest personality, enjoyed school especially math and had a loving family. He was shot and killed in his school van yesterday.
