August 31st, 1973, The Rolling Stones released their album “Goats Head Soup.” The album’s got 10 songs on it. This time around, all 10 songs written by Jagger and Richards. Mick Jagger says that he feels closer to this album than he did the last one. He likes the songs better and he feels this album has more focus. They’ve got a couple of hits that come from this album. There’s a single that was pre-released, “Angie”, and also the song “Heartbreaker.”
Today in 1971, John Lennon and Yoko Ono leave England to start a new life. in New York City. John never returns to England. At one point, it looks like the United States might deport him, but he fights that and wins, and he ends up living in New York City until the day he dies.
