The influence that Jimi Hendrix had on rock cannot truly be measured.

More realistically it can just be felt.

The best way you can feel that these days is “Experience Hendrix”.

The tour features amazing players like Bassist Billy Cox who played with Hendrix, Bassist dUg Pinnick of Kings X, Drummer Kenny Aronoff who has played with John Mellencamp and John Fogerty plus hundreds of others, Drummer Chris Layton of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, Storyville and Arc Angels.

Then there are the guitarists:  Buddy Guy, Joe Satriani, Jonny Lang, Dweezil Zappa, Doyle Bramhall II, Eric Johnson and more.

I spoke to Chris Layton about the show, the first time he heard Jimi and a lot more.

Give a listen to the interview below.
