In January 2020 Scorpions were planning a Vegas residency, a tour and a new album.
As you can imagine, the pandemic changed those plans.
But in April 2020 the band released a single “Sign Of Hope”.
Then August 9th, 2021 the band posted a video online jamming in the studio on a new song that seems to be named “Seventh Sun”.
We recently got word the new Scorpions album “Rock Believer” will be released February 25th, 2022.
November 4th, 2021 we got the first single from the album “Peacemaker”
According to Ultimate Classic Rock “The new track is classic Scorpions, featuring a groovy, stomping refrain, red-hot guitar riffs by Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs and Klaus Meine’s soaring vocals. “The first thing that came to my mind was the hook line,” Meine said in a statement. “Peacemaker, peacemaker / Bury the undertaker.’ I was just playing around with those words. At a time when so many people have died and are still dying of COVID, from devastating wars and other senseless crimes, it makes you feel that the undertaker must be working overtime. In a peaceful world after the pandemic, it will be time for the peacemaker to rule ... that’s an image that really appeals to me.”
Following the album’s release in February Scorpions will kick off their long awaited Vegas residency on March 26th, 2022.
