The list is out...so let the arguments commence! I mean...that’s the whole point of a list....right? To point out everything that’s wrong with it? Look...I gave up the notion long ago that the R&R HOF was JUST for the greatest rock n roll bands/artists of all time. While that may have been the original intent...it has clearly become the “Music” HOF...or something else similarly all-encompassing. They make the rules...and I’m sort of fine with that. Sort of. I just don’t for the life of me understand the nomination / selection process.

For example....why have a “fan vote” if the winner doesn’t automatically make it in...at least in SOME category? (Phish dominated the fan vote this year and wasn’t selected)

How can Outkast be selected when Mariah Carey isn’t already in?

It’s 2025! Where the hell are Styx, Iron Maiden, Boston, Sammy Hagar, Jethro Tull, Phil Collins, and on...and on...and on.....

So...congrats to the likes of Bad Company, Joe Cocker, Carol Kaye (The Wrecking Crew), Warren Zevon, and Cyndi Lauper. All well-deserved and about time. For some of the others... (and yes...I’m including Soundgarden)...there are so many others than you who should be at the front of the line...if not already in.
