Watch AC/DC’s “The Story Of Back In Black” Videos Celebrating The Albums 40th Anniversary

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of AC/DC's "Back In Black" the band releases the video series "The Story Of Back In Black".

On July 25th 1980 AC/DC released “Back In Black”.

The album was the first one they did after singer Bon Scott had passed away a few months before when he choked on his own vomit after a night of drinking.

The band recruited Brian Johnson of the band Geordie to be their new singer shortly after that.

The album was recorded in the Bahamas in about six weeks.

For an album that peaked at #4 on the charts with two Top 40 singles in “You Shook Me All Night Long” and the title track it sold very well.

The album went platinum by October 1980 and by December 2007 was certified 22 times platinum.

The RIAA lists “Back In Black” as the fourth biggest-selling album of all time and it was added to The Recording Academy’s Grammy Hall Of Fame in 2012.
