Neil Peart (Rush), one of the greatest drummers ever, died 1 year ago today. We celebrate his life and legacy.

Fans knew Neil Peart as “The Professor”. In 2013, he was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as a member of Rush, along with Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee. In 1983, Neil Peart became a member of “Modern Drummer” Reader’s Poll Hall Of Fame, the youngest to ever be inducted. As a member of Rush, he was not only the drummer but the primary lyricist. In 2010, Peart, Lifeson, and Lee were inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall Of Fame. Among his many honors and awards, Neil Peart was voted “Best Rock Drummer” by the readers of “Modern Drummer” from 1980-86, and again in 2006 and 2008. He was also voted the “Greatest Rock Drummer” by music fans, critics, and fellow musicians according to Drummerworld. Today we celebrate one of the greatest drummers ever, Neil Peart, on the one year anniversary of his death.
