Dusty Hill of ZZ Top Has Passed Away at 72

Sad news today, as Dusty Hill of ZZ Top passed away in his sleep at home in Houston this morning.

Bass player for the iconic Texas trio for the entire recording history of the band, his presence, playing, and vocals helped forge the sound that has inspired musicians for decades.

You are missed, Dusty, and your music will live on forever.

Joe Rock spoke with Dusty last year, not long after ZZ Top’s amazing performance at the San Antonio Rodeo.

Here’s a gallery of their show from the Rodeo, and last performance in San Antonio.
