Born and raised in Dallas...dropped out of high school and moved to Austin in 1972...formed Double Trouble in 1978...and the rest is history. Widely considered to be one of the most influential musicians in the history of blues music, and one of the greatest guitarists of all time...Stevie’s career and life were cut way too short as he was killed at the age of 35 in a helicopter crash after playing a show in Wisconsin in 1990. He defined the term “Texas Blues”...and remains the pride of his home state. From his 1989 appearance at Austin City Limits...check out this incredible performance of “Couldn’t Stand The Weather.”
