ZION, Ill. — At least five teens were injured by gunfire at a residence in a suburb north of Chicago early Sunday, authorities said.
Four high school-age teens were shot and taken to area hospitals to be treated for injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, WFLD-TV reported. They were treated and released, according to the television station.
The fifth victim, an 18-year-old male, was shot in the abdomen and is in critical condition, WLS-TV reported.
The incident occurred at about 12:19 a.m. CST, officials with the Zion Police Department said in a news release.

Police added in the release that they believed the attack was targeted toward the people in the residence, adding that there was no threat to the public.
There are no suspects in custody, WMAQ reported.
An investigation is ongoing, police said.
