Roger Waters has posted a video to inform the fans about what is currently happening in the Floyd feud with David Gilmour.
It’s no secret to fans of Pink Floyd that David Gilmour and Roger Waters do not get along.
Drummer Nick Mason seems to get along with both Waters and Gilmour.
But it pretty much ends there.
Mason gave up in 2019 according to AZCentral.com he said “After 20-something years, I was absolutely tired of waiting for the phone to ring with Roger or David going ‘C’mon guys, let’s get the band back together.’ I thought, ‘Forget that. It’s not gonna happen.’ I really got to the point where I thought I could never work again.”
Gilmour had his say in March of 2021 according to NME David had this to say “It has run its course, we are done. I’m all for Roger [Waters] doing whatever he wants to do and enjoying himself.”
Waters agrees they can’t work together telling Rolling Stone in 2020 “No, [a reunion] wouldn’t be nice,” he told Rolling Stone last year. “It would be fucking awful. Obviously, if you’re a fan of those days of Pink Floyd, well, then you have a different point of view. I had to live through it. That was my life. And I know in the wake of it, I’ve been cast as something of a villain by whoever, whatever. So be it. I can live with that. But would I trade my liberty for those chains? No fucking way.”
But despite all that, the feud hasn’t disappeared or faded.
When disagreements come up Roger is fine to take them to the fans same as he did here right about this time in 2020.
Now the feud is boiling up again and Roger is taking it to the fans.
This time the dispute is about album liner notes.
