March 25th, 2022 Joan Jett and The Blackhearts released their first ever acoustic album “Changeup”.

The album contains 25 tracks.

Mostly new music but a few older songs Joan and The Blackhearts rerecorded acoustic.

We recently had a chance to speak with Joan about the album and The Stadium Tour with Def Leppard, Motley Crue and Poison.

Why an acoustic album now was part of the conversation.

Part of our discussion was about songwriting in this world in 2022.

Joan also spoke about how The Blackhearts are like a family and what it’ll be like to be out on the road with them for The Stadium tour.

Of course how important the fans are to Joan and The Blackhearts came up as did Blackheart Records and the part of Joan’s history it is as well as the future for some artists on the label.
